Michaela got her training in Slovakia. She has got equivalent of A levels in historical and custom dressmaking.
Since coming to UK in 2004 she has worked for different wedding houses as well as couture studio. They are
Karen Jarmarkier Couture, Pauline Forster, J K Couture, Pure Couture.
The experience varied from making bespoke day wear through evening gowns to amazing wedding creations. By doing alterations she got insight into different manufacturing methods. Some of many amazing wedding dresses being altered were Vera Wang, Sassi Holford, Augusta Jones and Michaela's favourite Suzanne Neville.
As well as doing dressmaking and alterations, Michaela is involved in home fashion. She contracts work for Robert Kime, where she makes cushions, curtains and loose covers from new and amazing antique fabrics as well as having fun occasionally repairing old embroideries.
Since having a baby in 2010 she is building her own client base in her studio at home in Tilehurst, Berkshire which is equipped with sample books, inspirational books and fitting space as big as needs to be for particular outfit.
Michaela is meeting clients strictly on appointment basis to ensure one to one attention. Appointment hours are very flexible including evenings and weekends.
